This is the way how youngsters communicate, not directly but via their cell phone. The obsession with electronics. Just like ham operators? ;-)
The XXL mobile station. It was a quiet week with the radio. Troubles also with my PC, too much CPU usage. Cause? I don't know. I just google the problem, it seems to be the problem of others too. Today the central power is off. So no electricity this morning here. Time for reading the newspaper and books.
Update: the power is on again. Below my WSPR reports in the late afternoon on 10 meter.

73 Paul
DeleteGood morning Paul, it's so true I know at work out this way we have had many new young people hired and the Iphone texting is very noticeable. As for having no power on the weekend we were out of Phone, Cable and internet for most of the weekend. Gets you thinking as to other things you can do.
ReplyDeleteHi Mike, what can we do without power? Not that much. I had a battery pack for the FT817, so I could work qrp for a few hours, but I didn't. Now the power in on again. 73 Paul
DeleteThe photo of the kids totally oblivious of those around them is pathetic even frightening. Couples walking down the street ignoring each other using both their hands to text. What happened to holding hands with your boy/girl friend? The more we connect electronically, the less we connect emotionally. Life now one, big video game.
ReplyDeleteNo power outages here, band conditions were awful. Pouring rain...again...right now.

Hi Dick, it looks like escapism. What will become of this generation in the future? We some rain , some sun, temperature is slowly going down. 73 Paul
