There was so much weight given to CERN in this interview that one would think that Tom Harris worked for them. Red flag! Here's who Tom Harris is: "From May to September 2006, he was Ottawa operations director of the High Park Group, a public relations and lobbying firm active in the debate over global warming, whose clients include the Canadian Electricity Association, the Canadian Gas Association as well as those focused on the promotion of alternative energy".
Follow the money. He works for people who want to oppose greenhouse gas emission regulation. A lobbyist. Take what he says with a big grain of salt.
A good journalist should always go to the source of the story if possible. Why didn't the host get someone from CERN or better yet the author(s) of the research?
