It has been a long time I was QRV on 30 meter. I gave a CQ with CW and Karl OE3KAB from Muenichsthal, Austria came back for me. With PSK31 I made a QSO with IZ2SQC Tiziano from Quistello, Italy.
Hallo Paul, 30m is gewoon een hele mooie band en bijna de hele dag open. Ik zit er de laatste tijd ook niet zoveel op omdat ik zoveel mogelijk gebruik wil maken van de loop zolang ik die nog in de tuin heb staan. 30m op de loop of vertical zit geen verschil in. Dat komt omdat mijn vertical het meest geschikt is voor 30m. Overigens nog bedankt voor je eQSL's. Weer een heel mooi ontwerp. 73, Bas
Hallo Bas, jammer dat je de loop steeds weer moet weghalen. Maar goed het zal wel niet anders kunnen. Ik heb net een nieuw ontwerp gemaakt voor eQSL. Ik houd van afwisseling. 73 Paul
Hi Paul, 30 meters is a great QRP band. I always monitored 10.116 as 10.106 had too many pile-ups. No amps, which helps! Wish the word would get out that 18.096 is the QRP calling frequency on 17 meters. Now is the time to use it as this is going to be a short and not so sweet cycle. 73 Dick
Good morning Paul, I am in the very near future going to be putting up the last dipole that my attic can hold and it is a toss up between 80 meters and 30 meters. The antennas will be 2 mobile whips as a dipole. Just not sure which band to go with yet.....
Hello Mike, I like 80 meters for digital modes, no CW. Too much rag chewing. ;-) 30 meter is a reliable band but I like 40 meter as well. Good luck for making a choice. 73 Paul

ReplyDeleteWell Paul the choice was made found a ham who is selling two 30 meter whip antennas for 10.00 each...so 30 meters here I come.
