It's hard to make a QSO with poor conditions nowadays. Also the temperature in the shack is almost 28 C. But in the end I worked LZ1NP Lubo from Sofia, Bulgaria on 20 meter with CW.

  1. Morning Paul, Thanks for the 817 comments and the useful link. The 703 is a fantastic little set and I think you will find the extra 5W, the onboard ATU and the Speech compressor all useful extras. Also being a bigger set the buttons are easier to operate and are better spaced out. But the 703 doesn't lend itself quite so well to portable ops as the 817. I will be using my 703 for base ops in the shack and my 817ND for portable HF ops and of course for 2M. 73 and best wishes, Adam (M6RDP)
