For the first time 160 meter

What seems to be impossible is made real tonight. With WSPR I made a contact on 160 meter with 5 watt and I was heard by G4BOO, David from Thatcham (photo), UK also 5 watt. He was the only one active on 160 meter, so I read on the Currently Active page WSPR. It was a distance of 432 km. I really hope that more radio amateurs will be QRV with WSPR in the future because is wonderful. [view log]

  1. Hello Paul, That good ol'Miracle Whip tunes up for everything! 160M! That's amazing. I am plagued by noise on that band. I worked several stations in your country this weekend on the 817 and simple wire, and am off to the post office to send QSLs to Apeldoorn & Ugchelen. Perhaps one day we could arrange a scheduled QSO on 40M. That would be fun. 73 and enjoy the radio today. Adam

  2. @Adam: I was very amazed myself. Yes, maybe we can work each other, at least we give it a try. I think in the evening on 40 meter will have the best chances. Lets say 21.00 UTC 7.115? Let me know Adam.

  6. Hi Adam, I will suggest 7.125 because on 7.115 is a broadcast station active in the background.
